What is VAz?

Vaz was created with the idea for women to come out and celebrate themselves for a night of Feminine, Fabulous, Fun that includes shopping, pampering, socializing and entertainment.

These events encourage women to enjoy themselves with complimentary massages, drinks, food, goodie bags, and entertainment such as tarot card reading, henna designs, music, fashion and beauty shows, all while shopping from unique vendors seeing the latest fashion and beauty trends, home decor and products in a beautiful atmosphere.

Prior events include VAz Femine Fabulous Fun, VAz Beauty, VAz Fabulous Fun in the City, VAz Spring Glamour 2010, and VAz Fabulous Fun for the Little ladies, (A special event for girls 12 and under)  and VAz 1 Year Anniversary Celebration.

VAz events are always partnered with a charity. Some of the charities we have worked with are United Way, Food Share and Our Little Brothers and Sisters Organization for the Haiti Relief Fund, Susan G. Komen for the Cure CT and Ct Womens Education And Legal Fund.

VAz = Vanessa, Alana Everything for Women from A to Z

Alana La Fleur

Alana Joy La Fleur, co-founder of VAz, discovered that through working full time and being a full time mom tends to take up much of your daily time really fast. This is why VAz was created; to give women a one day experience that is all about them! The mission is to inspire a new generation of women who want to feel and remain feminine, fabulous and like to have fun.Alana’s experience in the world of fashion, marketing and event planning is undeniable while her savvy as a businesswoman, has allowed her leap into the creation of VAz. A native of Hartford, CT and a graduate of the University of Connecticut. Alana began her career as a manager in various departments at Nordstrom (Women’s Active, SAVVY, and BP). There she went to becoming an account executive (in marketing and advertising) at various radio stations at Clear Channel Hartford (WPHH, WURH, and WKSS) and additionally served as contributor to various radio and television shows.alana@vazinfo.com

Vanessa Jennings

Vanessa has an eclectic background in fashion and marketing. In 1994 she opened a retail shop in Hartford,CT. Her eye for buying and visual merchandising made it one of the hottest urban stores in the area. In 2002 she started fashion styling for a local magazine eventually moving to New York to continue freelance fashion styling. She has styled for such acts as Expose, Summer Rayne, and local celebrity Janet Peckinpaugh. She has also styled for national magazines, national ads and music videos.Moving back to Hartford she started writing a fashion blog on www.babbalu.com, began working for the Hartford Advocate, building solid relationships with business owners, marketing firms and other sale executives. Vaz Media was born with the meeting of Vanessa and Alana La Fleur.Vanessa and Alana are excited about bringing their knowledge of sales, marketing and fashion together to bring you Vaz Feminine Fabulous Fun Events.vanessa@vazinfo.com
